SPRING!!!

It was a wild ride this spring with 30 plus inches of snow falling right after the trout opener.  The trout opener this year started with great weather and some quality steelhead being the main target. Unfortunately it rained the rest of the weekend and local rivers jumped up. We have recovered from all the precipitation as of this week and there is some very fishy water around. Some streams have a slight stain, but the smaller tributaries are running clear and the trout are beginning to wake up. Water temperatures range from the upper 40's to upper 50's depending on the system. Warmwater fishing has been on fire for Walleye and Pike and we are still finding them shallow. Guided trips for smallmouth are starting this week and trout dry fly action will likely start up early next week. The shop is looking good and we have some killer deals going on right now. The main attraction is our Redington Classic Trout combo that comes with a top tier Rio line and a Redington run reel.  In store we are letting these go for an incredible price! Good luck fishing and enjoy the beautiful weather that we have all been patiently waiting for.
