On to the fishing report
May 30th
Trout
Water levels have dropped significantly and many streams are running low and they are heating up. Big water like the Escanaba is fishing well early and late. Small water we are doing fine all day. Dry fly action has been steady and I am seeing caddis, BWO's, Stones, some sulfurs and a couple brown drakes. Streamer action has not tapered off yet and is a great option if you don't feel like nymphing.
Warmwater
Bass
Topwater has started and fish are moving to the beds. During the day on clear lakes we are fishing over 15-20 ft for suspended fish. Evenings have them in shallow. Dark lakes are producing in the shallows and there is no need to fish deep at the moment.
Pike
Very aggressive still and we are finding the larger females in deeper water. Smale males are still tearing up the shallows with the bass.
